How Do I Retain or Regain My Hairline and Edges
Hairlines and edges (your front hair) can pose a herculean task as you would want to keep them healthy and at same time enjoy every wonderful hair style.
What we really don't understand is why they fall off and in the long run we might end up losing them, which obviously is the worse night mare of every woman. In this article I'm going to highlight most of the reasons why you are losing your hairline and how to get them back. Don't blink.
If you're losing hairlines these are the reasons and remedies
1. Your hair styles and stylists
If you don't want to lose something don't push it to its limit. Of course your hair styles that focus on your hairlines and strain the tiny hairs can help you barb them off when you take the hairstyle off because the hairs are too tender. Your stylist can help you retain them or help you lose them too. If you are making weaves (corn rows) of any style tell your stylist to make it in a 'brush pattern' and avoid picking the edges. However, this is the secret if you notice you lose too much hair after taking your style out, you might need to change your stylist as their braiding or twisting pattern may not be good for your hair.
2. You are not moisturizing enough
You have to moisturize your hair frequently, especially your edges. This will prevent them from getting frizzy and breaking off out of dryness and slightest pull.
3. You are using too much gel and heat treatment
we can all testify when gel dries up our hair gets frizzy. Yes, it can cause edge breakage too. Avoid too much gel usage if you need those hairlines. you'll also want to minimize the frequency of heat treatment(flat tonging etc).
4. Use onion juice and coconut oil regularly, especially on those edges. This is also a quick remedy to regaining lost edges and hairline.
